Fried leading ignition coil and ignitor after crane hi6 install

So, back to running right again and i just had a few questions.

Problems started right after installing a crane hi6 ignition amp,
ran good for a very short time,
then melted/cracked the leading ignition coil.
Replace coil with a t2 unit, ran fine out of boost, but as soon as manifold pressure went positive it would misfire like a rev limiter.
Remove hi6, stock coil, same thing.

Swapped ignitor and back to normal.

Now im at the point again where i need stronger ignition,

But im concerned about putting the hi6 back in, was it just a weak leading coil or is there something else going on?

Is it a better idea to throw out what i have now and go with aem igna1 coils?

Wire something wrong? Why not go with something proven like a HKS twinpower or the IGN-1A setup?
