Question fresh rebuild engin with weird turbo problems, amongst others

Hey people, I have tried to search but didnt know what to type in for the search... lol

Its a bit of a hard one to explaine, ....................

firstly the motor has just been rebuilt, by a reputiable company RES in Auckland, The guy mark that i delt with seemed onto it and like he knew what he was doing, I did a bit research before i decided who to take it to.

the motor now
Half bridge port and street port, 3mm 2peice seals, it is still running standard turbos and everything else untill i can afford the turbos ha ha, Although I do hav a pfc which has apparently been tuned to 4000 rpm driving, for the run in period, then have to take it back for more tuning, I have now done around 1100kms has used minimal oil and no water starts minter every time, was compression tested after ther rebuild 100 psi on all faces on both rotors,

it idles at 2100 rpm which is rather high i would have thought, but if it goes anything under that it starts to gurgle and miss and not pulse, the idle has not been raised by the pfc, a manuel idle adjustment bolt has been welded onto the throttle (dam cant think of the name, throttle arm maybe?) and is adjusted from there....

I do not beleive the idle learn was done upon installing the pfc as the idle changes alot with different electrical loads, the idle dropps if the ac or cooling fans come on.

i have searched and it seems as though i cannot relearn idle without wiping there tuning!!, anyway, that can wait untill the final tuning is done, although he has also said that they cannot tune it anymore untill the emissions has been removed... I was planning on doing the sequential turbo simplification.... Sorry to blah on just trying to give the whole picture,

The main prob that i am having is that when i accelerate pretty lightly, keeping car in vacuume the turbo sounds like its running but stalling making a horrible noise that echos out the exhaust, and giving the car no power at all but if you back of the gas and then back on it drives fine no noise and there is power. this is a bit confusing and rather loud for everyone as im driving along, It has failed its wof because of the noise lol that and being 10mm to low........

the car is a 1999 type R the only other mods are cat has been removed, and there is a k&n air filter element in the standard air box, and after market blow off valve.

If anyone else has had symptoms like this or maybe this is a common thing, could you please let me know,

Thanks Mark
