Found this today....

I wonder how many people had this same experience. Probably everyone but different timelines...you'd have to be crazy to have a 3rdgen.

Well I need to get back to my push button start mod and coilover install!

I have a March 1992 made R1 and never has that many problems. Either is was a totally messed up car or the owner was very stupid.

my current FD is a early 92 also. when i bought it at 9K miles a long time ago it already went through 2 motors and 2 sets of turbos.... hasnt given me any problems i didnt cause myself. i think when the cars came out the mechanics were cluless and the answer to every problm was "replace the motor" or "replace the turbos"

That sight is old as hell!! I remember looking at it before I bought my car six years ago. The guy sold the car then bought another one then sold it too. It had a lot of good info however most is no longer anything that can be used currently as the car is now 10 years old.

His number one problem was this....

"My car spent a lot of time (4 months) in various dealer shops during the 2 years or so that I owned and cared about it. For those who are interested in what was done to my car in 40 trips to the dealer, the list is quite long but includes"

But then again, when these cars were new, where else could they go? Kinda sucks, but his is obviously an extreme case.
