Question Found the part but what does it do....

while checking the turbo pipe for oil, i found a broken valve on a vac. line. I have already found the part# but what does this line control?

it's a check valve. It keeps the pressure tank pressurized. When it's broke, it will cause a slow transition. In my case, no transition in first gear, but normal boost in the others.

just a check valve, one way valve, call it what you will, it only allows air to flow through it one way.

Dammit, you guys beat me. I posted on his other thread... Oh well. But anyway, yeah, it's a check valve.

Savor the moment, because this is one of the few parts on this car that is actually cheap to replace
