Found boost leak but now have another problem

Well i found my boost leak. It was the high pressure cooupler going from the turbo to the ic. Had like a 4 inch tear in it. Anyway now I have another problem, when I was trying to get the ic accordian peices off. I broke the little black nipple off on the water overflow tank right next to the ic. Anybody know the part number for that overflow tank? Also you guys know what size and where to order that coupler from. Thanks a lot. michael

when facing the car, the overflow tank should be under the left headlight(passenger side). You may be talking about the AST?

The part number for the coupler is N3A2-13-247

The part number for the AST (tank you mentioned) is N3A1-15-35XA

Don't buy another plastic AST from Mazda. They split and spill your coolant onto the highway. Get an aluminum one. I know Pettit sells them (as do about a dozen other places).

The aluminum one is likely cheaper than the crap Mazda part anyway.

Pettit Part Number: KI-PE-AST
ALUMINUM COOLANT AIR SEPARATOR TANK w/SAFETY LEVER VENT CAP
The Pettit aluminum air separator tank upgrade is a direct replacement for the plastic stock unit which is prone to splitting along the seam and causing unexpected coolant loss resulting in engine damage from overheating. All aluminum construction. Lever vent cap relieves pressure safely. Installs in 30 minutes or less. 149.95

Good luck.

There are tons of topics around about it. Just do a search here for it. There is no "it's better to remove/replace it" answer. It really just depends on if you really think it's functional or not.
