Flywheel resurface???

Im in the middle of replacing my clutch and because the previouse clutch was slipping my flywheel has some burn spots. Can the standard flywheels be machined to reflatten it??? .How much should i get taken off. Thanks

Any competent machine shop should be able to cut it.

Brilliant,, i only asked becuase i noticed the area where the flyweel touches the friction plate was slightly high and wondered if i had it machined it might make the clutch not work as well. Thanks again

Exactly right. It would be a problem if it isn't machined right. They have to remove the alignment dowels and machine that surface as well.

A shop will charge a little more for a flywheel like this, since it takes a little more time. I got mine done for $50 USD.
