Flywheel resurface???
Flywheel resurface???
Im in the middle of replacing my clutch and because the previouse clutch was slipping my flywheel has some burn spots. Can the standard flywheels be machined to reflatten it??? .How much should i get taken off. Thanks

Just take enough off to make it true again, i had burn markes on my twinplate, i took a thousand off one side and just a few 10th's off the other and its as goodas new
Brilliant,, i only asked becuase i noticed the area where the flyweel touches the friction plate was slightly high and wondered if i had it machined it might make the clutch not work as well. Thanks again
A shop will charge a little more for a flywheel like this, since it takes a little more time. I got mine done for $50 USD.
