Flywheel to Rearwheel exchange percentage

I've heard od as high as 28% and as low as 10% as far as the percent of Horsepower that is lost during transition for an FD. Can we clarify this?anybody know for sure?

im not absolutely positive but i believe that the average drivetrain loss for a front engine, rear wheel drive car is about 17%.

The FD appears to have approximately 15% loss due to drivetrain.

15% for manual tranny is a good estimate. The losses are higher (20%?) for an automatic.
