Fluidyne Radiator

I took my RX-7 to my Mazda Dealership for the coolant leak problem I had and it ends up that the resevoir tank was cracked (thank God!). No rebuild for me (at least not yet!). Now I'm interested in putting in some reliability upgrades. Does this Fluidyne Radiator really help cool down the engine better or does it just last longer than the stock radiator? If it does help cool it down more, by how much? And one more question - this air seperator thing - what exactly is its purpose and what benefit will I get from upgrading it? Thank you very much - you guys are the best!

http://www.rx7guru.com/rx7radiator.htm. This isnt the radiator you are looking at but I think it will help you get a bettter idea of what is involved with an upgrade. Not only does it--or any upgraded radiator-- do a better job of keeping the engine cool, they should last longer. The air seperator-AST- does just that, help remove air from the system. The stock one does a good job it's just made of plastic so it is prone to breaking. Search for "AST" and you can find a ton of info on them. I opted for Pettit's as they have helped me with a lot of questions over the phone so I figured I owed them some business. If this is your first upgrade you will probably want to get a new ast or a down pipe. The down pipe will do as much to help relieve heat as a new radiator and kick up the hp to boot.
