Fluidyne is thinner and Koyo is thicker. If you fd is stock the fluidyne is a direct bolt on. The Koyo is not

Eh....not necessarily.

FD3S2005...I'm very satisfied with my Fluidyne. Quality workmanship and materials. And it was probably an easier fit than the Koyo, but it wasn't a direct drop-in.
As far as what is the best choice, I think depends on where you live and your intended use/mod level. If you plan on keeping it relatively stock and street driven, either stay with the stocker or put in a stock size all-metal rad for <$200.

i've always used koyo. i never had a fitment issue either. Koyo is about 20% thicker than the fluidyne, therefore the cooling capacity is greater. There's plenty of threads about the two...

size does matter. Go Koyo. And save some cash while you're at it. The best of both worlds.

We have used the Koyo in numerous customer cars- Works good for the street and occasional track use- requires a little modification to fit just right. We have two koyo radiators in stock- $299ea. plus shipping.

Installed the KOYO without signifcant mods to any of the other pieces of equipment. It was tedious and it took some figuring out. The brackets had to be altered to get the rad to sit low enough, otherwise everything else on top will interfere.

The IC duct goes around the AC dryer and also covers the bottom of the dryer unit. The fan on the driver side will hit on the bottom of the IC duct. I got a spare and cut the bottom of the dryer section out and it fit perfectly. I would expect not much air loss around the dryer itself, but a thinner seal could be made to close this off...

KOYO's do not have the integrated tranny cooler for Autos. Keep that in mind.
