fitting the emergency jack in the back bin.

How the hell do the stock scissor jack and speeder bar fit in the storage bin back there in the trunk? Mine's rattling around back there, and I can't for the life of me, make it fit. anyone have any pictures or anything that may help me?

You have to close the jack up to be able to fit it under the retaining wire, then lift the wire up over the jack and put it in the slot you use under the car. Then you have to expand the jack till it's snug against the wire and the base is flat against the plate the wire attaches to. The handle fits in there kinda funny so I'll have to look at it before I can comment on it's placement.

Had the same problem. I think there is a diagram in the manual. If not then I looked in one of the books. It would not have gone back in without a picture.

Just pull it out and forget about it! You have to expand the jack to fit in the wire thing and kind of stick the crank where ever you can get it to fit. Maybe tomorrow I will take some pictures for you.

Yeah, the crank handle had to just kinda get stuffed in there. I tried to squeeze it between stuff so it wouldn't rattle.

I know it's a old thread but was trying to figure this out this morning.

Came out of the Owner's Manual, still did not go back in the way it came out????
