First day at VIR - summary

We were on a waiting list and I ended up getting in, so Andy (GooRoo) and I borrow a trailer and use his Jeep Liberty (not the strongest tow vehicle in the world) and make a 22 hour trek to Virginia International Raceway. We drove straight through, switching drivers when one needed sleep and stoping only for gas/food/et.

Last night at around 7ish we met up with my track dawg Bruce (red cobra R) who is instructing this weekend. The next morning we woke up silly early and got ready to run VIR. WHOOOT!!!

I was really pumped up to meet Fritz (Frits Flynn) and not only did we get to meet but he ended up matched up as my instructor. His instruction got me up to speed in one session. I also got to ride as a passenger in his car and got to experience an awsome display of driver skill. My hat goes off to Fritz as he was like a men among boys out there.

Randy Pobst was also at the track and did a speach on his recent racing season. I am going to work on getting a picture with him and ty to have him sign somthing ;-)

Tomorrow will be another great day at the track, I'll am taking video and will post somthing when I get time, here are some pictures that Andy took from today:

Here is a pic of Fritz (on righty) and me (on left), I look like a friggin thug...was up with that LOL

Fritz on track with me in pass seat.

Me on track with fritz in my pass seat.

Damn Damian, don't look so excited. You're only driving at one of the nicer tracks in the US haha.

Didn't know that Fritz has Brads old car. Glad to hear it ended up in good hands.
