It looks awesome! needs wider wheels, although you know that. NEways I would keep the popups.

I was thinking about going with white. I think it is good contrast and will match what I eventually want to do to the interior.

i dunno. i think the chess-board effect might be a little to much contrast. Id go with bronze or like a shadow chrome to retain that stealth fighter look u got goin there!

well, went to fikse (sp?) yesterday, awesome people there. They took some measurements and showed me the rim types that they had. Had a good experience there, talked to them for an hour. They are kind of expensive, but looked good and quality seem top notch.

Hi T88NosRx7!

Like the kit! I have a complete one myself for the www.4rotor.com - I was actually looking to see what wheels would fit.

I wanted to go with 18 x 10 front and 18 x 12 rear - do you know offsets by any chance for those size rims?

IMO that kit looks better if its more racey, you know like stickers and **** all over it, afterall, a widebody is meant for the track. I think it'd look cool with that RE Amemiya spoiler also, that big GT one he has on the yellow widebody and the white Super G. Of course when you get the wheels it will look 10x better. But nice car regardless. Props.

The offset for that kit would be fairly small I'd imagine. Maybe a +5, 0 or even negative. The smaller the offset the bigger the outer lip. Offset equals the distance from the rim centerline (like on a 10" wheel, 5"'s) to where the wheel actually bolts to the car's hub. If it bolts more to the outside of the wheel, it's positive offset. If it bolts closer to the inside of the wheel, it's negative. Just FYI.

Thanks Jake, what I'm concerned about is the deep dish - as I'm not a big fan of it.

Definitely will be a custom job!

It may be hard to avoid a big lip. You'd have to extend you hub further out, like you'd have to drop the whole rear end and rebuild it, axels and all. If your gonna do it, get rid of the dog bone axels and put in telescoping drive shafts, unbreakable.

Yes, 12inches wide is quite big! I would like to try and get my rims similar to that of the Silver car in the pic. ... I already have the custom aluminium housing 9inch, and the whole rear end will be custom also.

Have you tried contacting RE Amemiya? I'm sure their shop could fill you in, if you could find someone wo speaks english.

Yeah, they are VERY difficult to deal with - it actually took me 6 months to get my kit. They only have one main guy who speaks english, and most of the time he is out and about around the world etc.

Don't worry - I'll get it sorted.

Something about the REA car looks much better.. Not just the wider wheels.

Almost as if they've blended/smoothed the kit to the stock body.
