Thanks, my upgrade plan:

*already have downpipe
*RB or M2 dual-tip cat-back
*M2 or rx7fashion intake
*PowerFC
*Blitz SMIC
*Cosmo fuel pump
*run 12 psi
*replace clutch with ACT street/strip clutch when stock clutch dies from upgraded power
*when cat starts going out, will replace with hi-flow cat

Also, will upgrade to Fluidyne rad when my stock one starts going out. I plan on keeping suspension stock for now except for getting some 17x9 wheels and running 245/40 S-03s.

Cool About your ride

Rynberg
I also want a red rx7 and I'm pretty much stuck on that color or maybe white.
Would you consider the paint on your car to be faded at all or in good condition?
this color vintage red looks like performance red on the mustang and I'm just wondering if this is how the 93 rx7s look because it's faded or is that what the color actually looked like when it was new also
Is there a way for you to know since you didn't have it back then??

The paint on his car is not faded, and it's orignal. The original paints on 93s are usually faded by now if they're not aken care of, especially the mirrors. So if you see a very nice 93, it may be repainted. 94s and 95s have better paint.

Snook, I was actually planning on getting a silver or black FD, but once I saw the VR in person, it reminded me a lot of my first RX, a 79 GS (sunrise red). I really like VR, though it is definitely a cop magnet. I call it "ticket me red".

I would consider the paint on my car to be in good condition other than a few scratches and stone chips. My mirrors are faded a little though, had to use some paint cleaner to get off the oxidized layer. Guess Mazda never did improve that. (Or the previous owners didn't wax the mirrors....)

thanks guys

I have a red car now I agree about the ticket thing
It's like they pull you over and they forgot why they did because there was no reason it was a red sports car that they don't have and it went by them so it must have been speeding!
Thanks for the replys I'm definetaly getting vr unless another deal presents itself which I would be dumb to pass up because of color.

looking good, i'd also suggest getting a front strut tower brace, really tightens up the feel of the front end.

also, i don't think you'll need the upgraded fuel pump with just those mods. you only need a stronger fuel pump if you exceed 15 lbs of boost, or if you upgrade the injectors.

what's that label on the intercooler say? rotary performance?

Thanks, I'm actually working on getting an R1 strut brace as we speak (write). I can't wait to see how much of a difference it makes.

Well, you're probably right, but after spending all the cash on the other mods, $250 and a 1/2 hour of time is pretty cheap insurance. Yeah, I don't plan on running more than 12 psi.

Wow, sharp eyes. Yeah, the car spent some time in Texas before I bought it and it was serviced by Rotary Performance in Gardena, TX. My AST is from RP, and so is my downpipe (Bonez).

Thanks for the comments.

Yeah, I believe you're thinking about Redwood and Crow Canyon. Both good sporting roads, Redwood's nothing but hairpins and s-curves with short straights; Crow Canyon's got the fast sweepers. Too bad Redwood is not driveable at night due to blind curves and WAY too many deer. Not driveable on weekends either, too many slow drivers and bikers. Crow Canyon is still under construction from EBMUD. Still, not bad roads.

You are going to lower it soon right? One bad thing about 95' is they look like SUVs.

I know, I know. I'm waiting on that custom line of FD gauges that Omori is working on. I suppose I could get a cheapo Autometer gauge until then but I don't want to go through the installation hassle for now.

BTW, thanks again for the RX-7 emblem.

The 95's have the same ride height as 93-94. Not sure what you are talking about. Maybe you're just used to seeing every FD lowered.
