Thank ya Sir.

I will be creating a new thread when the 35R build is underway. Yes, it's going to take some time, & lots of money . I'm hoping to have it finished by Auguest 2010.

As far as quality goes, it's going to be nothing but the best. I have waited a long time to build an FD & it's going to be exactly how I want it. Hoping to put down 400whp with the current stock port engine.... I'll keep it relatively conservative until I get a rebuild with a SP.

Oh... also ordered a new R1 lip yesterday

You got yourself a very clean car there. One of my favorite colors on the FD..it's one of those that slowly grows on you then you just end up loving it. But I get what your saying about the alarm overkill...We have to do it hear also..not more so from the theft perspective but more vandalism..Living in a small town on a side street..

Good luck on the project can't wait to see more of it when you start going single.

I always had a soft spot for those wheels, there are few 5 spoke wheels I like but those are one of them. Congrats on the car, try and take care of it, too many are turing into piles lately.

I am with you. I have always liked mesh wheels. I almost bought WORK VS's, but got the Meister's instead. I think the finish really compliments the MB.

As far as my FD's well being.... It might as well be the queen of England. Garage kept in Air Force Base housing, driven rarely & with extreme caution when it is. Jersey drivers are borderline retarded. I rarely drive it off base. Mostly to work & back, which is about 5 miles. I occasionally take it out for a spirited stint to keep the carbon clear on a nice rural road ....

Didn't really want to turn this into a build thread but I wanted to update it with some of the smaller things I have done & purchased lately.

As mentioned, I will likely create a separate thread for my single build, as well as my full suspension/chassis.

New Pillowball bushings
Super Pro FULL poly kit
F & R Caliper rebuild kits
R1 Lip
Touche-up paint

Still waiting on:
Stoptech SS brake lines.
Hawk HPS pads

It's pretty amazing that the 2 pics below is about $1400. It's made to spend, and the FD loves it

Lip installed

All it needs is the aftermarket turn signal lenses (Jason at RX-7 Store sells them). I never cared for the stock, old fashioned Miata style lenses.

Car looks good. MB is weird, tho...it looks good in some shades but not usually in bright light, where it just looks green to me. The color always needed more blue and less green imo

My bad bro. I bough the Power Flex kit, I kept getting them confused. I personally think this is a better kit as they come with ALL the bushings. The Power Flex kit is missing rear LCA's & sway bars. Sway bars usually isn't a big deal as most run aftermarket. I however, felt no need to upgrade for a mostly street/drag car. As for the LCA's, I couldn't justify swapping in every other bushing with poly but those. So I bought the kit

Front

Wheels - 9" wide +48mm offset
Tires - 265/35/18

Rear

Wheels - 10" wide +43mm offset
Tires - 285/30/18

I will also add that I did not require coil-overs or aftermarket trailing arms. I am running Tein-S springs with KYB shocks. The stance is perfect.

I have actually shifted my direction for the car & will be going with a Burnout front bumper for better flow to my FMIC. I agree with the lenses, but will be using 99's with the new bumper so plan to hold off on their purchase. I figured the R1 lip was a good $125 sacrifice for now. It was worth it & will be in good condition for a resell as little as I drive the car.

I do agree with your aspect of MB. I too like more blue than green & the darker shade it emits when its a cloudy day.
