Do you know nothing about english? jspecracer7, YOU'RE a dumbass. What is this "no your the dumbass" ****. I don't own any "the dumbass" and besides that would not make any sense. Well who gives a **** about stock? Not many people stay stock on an FD anyways.

From what I understand (and ive been wrong before) the JDM RX7 makes around 275hp which would be about right considering it comes stock with a downpipe.
No, im not making a race car nor am I making a show car. Just something different to roll around in on the weekends when my miata is resting in the garage. Ill deff. modify the car if I get it but not to show car status. This car will be a driver, hopefully somewhere around 350 ponies when im done with it. My last FD was stock with the exception of a dp, cat back, and boost controller and I thought that was fast enough, im sure 350hp will be plunty..

YOU ARE the person bringing up STOCK downpipes....not me. NOW YOU ARE saying "Well who gives a **** about stock?" WHICH IS IT?
The downpipe has an indention. There is no EGR Valve. The wiring harness is run towards the opposite way. The throttle cable is run the opposite. The brake booster/anti lock brakes are reversed. Those are the most obvious differences with the JDM and American FD engine bays.
I've built more engine's than you have had years on this earth little boy. I made one grammatical error...I think my 450~ rwhp has more to do with this rx7 board than YOUR grammar lessons.

Since Japan came out with the RX-7, RHD is jspec.......well if it wasn't for RHD rx-7, we wouldn't have them because they obviously would not have come out with them if it wasn't RHD so maybe we should just bash on you guys for being big jerks that shouldn't belong on the forum. This is a place for everyone to share stuff and get advice/give advice. Why can't you guys just be like, that's really cool man! Congradulations! And keep your comments to yourself. No one cares if you have negative comments, especially if you dont say them.

Yeah, I can't convince him why not to buy the JDM car and he can't convince me that it's worth buying. The downpipe issue for RHD cars refers to ALL downpipes not just the stock. The only reason I bring up grammar is if you're going to flame me, at the very least, have some honor and class in it. Even though this may not be the same issue, Evil7(the 4rotor FD) had to be converted to LHD to allow for the exhaust manifold to clear without unnecessary bends.

Thanks for the great info dom. I spent about an hour on the phone with a very helpful customs agent today. He pretty much said that if the car does not have the HS-7 with it, than you cant buy it. If you do purchase a vehicle that has not passed through customs than it can be taken from you with out reimbursment. Doesnt sound like much fun. I just left the owner a message asking him if the vehicle has the HS-7 and who the registered importer is. Unfortunatly, I believe the vehicle still has the original windshield meaning it was never dot approved as this is one of the things that must be changed. If this is the case, my dreams of owning a RHD RX7 may be put on hold for another few years. I would never waste my money on a vehicle I could not register. Im keeping my fingers crossed though because in one of the pics the car has a plate from LA AUTO HAUS, which I believe to be a RI.

bee..... Glad you looked into it more. Customs wouldnt reimburse you OF COURSE, they wouldnt reimburse you if you package caught on fire while waiting for them to inspect, just the way it is.
