Finally Getting An FD!!

Hey guys, it has been QUITE some time since I have been in the rotary scene (a few yesrs), and I just decided to pick up a 3rd gen (finally). I have owned 9 RX-7's since I started driving and I still own a 90 vert that I am replacing the auto tranny in and selling (if anyone is interested). I have owned 3 turbo II's and many other turbo cars, and I'm almost done with my 1994 GSX eclipse racecar, so its time for a new project. I was going to start really modding my 1993 Supra TT, but I decided to leave it as my daily driver for now.

Well it started when a local guy called and asked If I could fix his 3rd gen. Clean 80k mile red car tan leather. Had put a bunch of mods on it and wouldn't start. I got it unflooded (they unhooked map sensor) and got him on the road with the PowerFC. I have always loved the cars but didn't want to invest in them much (since I have a TT supra already). And I also was considering doing the LS1 T56 swap. Well I told my buddy that I was looking for one (he does auction cars), and he said he had 2 of them he was going to get rid of (and an LS1 pullout w/ T56). So I went over to look at them and couldn't decide which route to go.
Both 94's.
1) Black w/ tan leather, 80k miles, clean body, sunroof, needs seat covering, straight title, AUTO, but ran and drove great - 4500.00.
2) White, 49k miles, black leather (showroom condition), 5 speed, no sunroof, been wrecked in front, he fixed, runs, but sounds like blown engine w/ downpipe. - 5500.00

So I couldn't decide what to do. Either get the black car and the LS1 , pull engine, part out and install hinsonsupercars LS1 kit. But I REALLY like rotary engines and wanted the 5 speed car. So I called my bro in Cali. (I'm in Louisiana), and told him about them. He got so excited about LS1 3rd gen, that he decided to buy the black one and the LS1. If I pull the motor and ship the car to him, I can keep it (this is the good running motor). SO I got my car for 5500.00 finished!

Anyways, what would this car be worth finished running great? 49k miles, but salvage title. I am going to respray the car (probably a different color). I'm not selling, just wondering what would the street rate be for the car?

Also, I have read the faqs and am wondering if I can do bigger radiator, SMIC, and install a cat in the DP without having to do the POWERFC. Also, how do stock cars holdup on the road course (or prepared in this manner).

Thanks alot guys. Any imput will be appreciated.

You sure wouldnt loose any money paying 5.5k for that car even if you sold it in few years IMO.

You can install bigger radiator and SMIC without problems. But leave the downpipe on. Additionally get boost controller and boost gauge to keep boost at bay (10psi max).
