I didn't bother to read this post but all of this doesn't sound so stange at all. After a year of sitting, obviously the AWS would kick in making the idle jump to 3k. Next, putt-putting? It's called backfire and most FD's do it upon cold start anyhow. Last, white smoke: I would say old oil thats been sitting in the system could easily cause this. I had white smoke when I changed out my turbos for a few days most likely because of old oil in the system, such as lines and the intercooler. Consider these things before you start rebuilding your engine or something. Drive the car a bit and see if this stuff goes away. If something is already blown you can't do THAT much more damage. Sorry for not reading 5 pages of stuff before I posted. It's late, I'm lazy...inform me if I sound like a douche.

i cant belive no1 asked him how many miles are on the car. i think 16 year olds should not buy fd's unless they have very good income or they are spoiled rich kids.

even if its not an o ring and its a quick fix. with a 93, how many miles do you think it has. if the motor is running ok now, most liekly you will still need a rebuild in the near future. especially the way 16 year olds drive.

it was nice to see all these knowledgable ppl give this kid a lot of good help tho.

and you prolly shouldnt start modifying your car until you know everything is running right

First of all I am not 16, I turn 18 this month. Second I was NOT informed about the car, I got too excited and purchased the car anyway. Third, this thread is really old.
