It is quite rust free to my amazement. The only rust is on the windshield wiper arms and in assorted patches across the entire exhaust system past the manifold.

I did a VIN check prior to purchasing it and it had no recorded accidents against it.

Although, she pulls hard to the left at all times. I chalk that up to a classic assumption of it being allignment based. I haven't really had time to fully diagnose it.

Cars don't just go out of alignment. When the alignment isn't right it means something is bent, broken, or worn. If it's just a little out of spec, it can be adjusted to compensate. But if you're way out of spec, it's likely you're in to replacing parts.

I hope there's no unibody damage. putting it up on a lift, it should be easy to spot. Even if one of the A-arms or something is bent, it isn't too big of a deal to replace. The handling of the car is so sharp, and the straight ahead / on center precision feels so good it's a shame when a car doesn't live up to it.

The little bit of surface rust you report is nothing serious and normal for the exhaust system. You've got a good one on that score.

I reckon that looks quite ok, body damage is easy to fix. Just get a full respray. All FDs, or rotaries for that matter, smell of fuel a bit, especially on startup with lots of condensation. Probably just needs a tune.

I would recommend opening the engine up and giving it a check.

The interior looks nice. I wish i had cream leather.

Dropping the car into a few pot holes and using incorrent tyres will drag the car out of alignment. If its just an alignment issue then you could probably test it and see if the cars steering wheel shakes or vibrates at higher speeds.

I would love to build a car back to its prime.
