FFE Fuel Kit on a 96+ car

Hello,
I purchased the full function engineering step up kit and was wondering if any one with a 96+ fd had any luck installing it.
At the moment the front hose that connects the primary to secondary rail will not fit due to vacuum line in the way.
Was wondering if you could take of the connector(circled red) and run it like the stock fuel rail?

If its not possible to install this kit with the 96+ what alternative do I have for running bigger injectors.

Have you tried moving the vacuum lines out of the way?

I'm not sure that's possible since they're metal hardlines.
I tried lifting them up to slide the fitting underneath but no luck.

The note at the bottom of the product page says:

Note: This kit was not designed to fit with emissions rats nest installed. There may be some clearance issues with the factory vacuum hardlines installed.

Was hoping that meant it was still possible to be used.
The rat's nest is not the problem, it's the turbo hardlines.

Would it be possible to run an adapter like this and the bolt the fitting below?

You have two options to make that ffe step up rail work.

The first is to cut the metal bracing that holds the top of the piping in position and bend them out of the way. You may have to replace the soft lines to get the positioning correct. If you decide to go this way, it’s best to remove the assembly and make the adjustment and reinstall. Be careful bending those lines.

The second is to cut off the vac return line manifold leading back to the intake at the main junction right at the top. You will have to tee back in the few lines that hook up to it. They are just the dump side of the wasegate and pre control valves ( you can leave these open if you like since it’s just air) . Along with the OMP nozzles ( you should hook those up). I will include a couple pictures.

My opinion would be to not use the FFE rail because it lacks the fuel temp sensor. There are a couple options, but the one I utilize is this one.

I was able to remove the hard lines, but I don't believe I have the right pipe bending tool.
Which tool would I need to bend the lines without damaging them?

Now that you have it off, you can install the rail and the connection between the primary and secondary. That way you can check the clearance needed.

I found the easiest way to adjust those hard lines is to cut the metal bracing that ties them together at the top. You may not have to cut all the pipes free, keeping them in pairs may work also ( it’s been so long since I installed a step up rail ) This will allow them to move while keeping them in the needed orientation since the middle bracing is not touched. You can then heat them up using a heat gun and insert a pin punch inside using that as leverage to persuade them out of the way enough to get the space you need. They are not very strong so you can even hand bend them. You can install, check and then remove as many times as you need for it to work correctly.
