A few questions, over fueling? boost controller & wiring

Hey guys,

Have a few issues with my FD at the moment.

Firstly i my tach, speedo and water temp gauges dont work, i've searched and read till im blue in the face, ive tried other clusters to no avail. The coolant beep was sounding because the guy who rebuild the engine connected the sensor to the wrong wire. He had the sensor connected to a blue wire with a red stripe from the loom under the PS pump.

I know its a long shot but any ideas what this wire is for? I'm going to get underneath the car tommorow and see if i can reconnect it, i am hoping this wire will help solve my cluster problems.

The second issue i had was installing a boost controller. Borrowing an image from the Robrobinette site i installed it exactly where it said to.

I am however still getting 0.4 bar of boost. I havent removed any of the pills as yet, i am still having a little trouble finding their exact location.

Last but not least im getting a little white smoke from the exhaust, i think its due to the walbro as it wasnt smoking before nor was it running as rich as it is at the moment. I dont think the white smoke is coolant as the exhaust doesnt smell of it.....just smells like gas. Looking into getting an adjustable fpr and cleaned injectors to cure this. Any one else experience this when changing fuel pumps?

Any help would be greatly appreciated
