A few questions/opinions (and a pic)
Hi everyone.
A few things:
1) I had an oil smoke problem which nobody wanted to give me any help with. I blocked the pcv and it seems to have worked; the only line plugged is the one from the UIM to the Oil Filler Neck. Any feelings on this?
2) I installed a boost gauge and a centre console panel. Opinions on the panel? I am missing the other 2 gauges, I know. In the next few weeks maybe... . I checked the vacuum/boost in the car. it reads about 20 at idle Around 900/1000 rpm (sometimes it's a hair less, I'm not sure why); the boost climbs fast under WOT, 10-8-10, but the 10 is a hair past 10. Should I worry about this? The car is completely stock, with the exception of a DP. Also, is all this any reflection of the engine/turbos health? I read posts and some say yes, some say no.
3) here's a pic of the panel. Carbon fibre (from a local shop), home made.

19-20inHg is really good vacuum. 10 to 10.5psi is also pretty good, and that .5psi may even be within the accuracy of the gauge. The downpipe can give that .5psi extra - I personally wouldn't get worried until it hits/exceeds 11. You don't have a boost controller to adjust it down and for a stock car with one mods it's not necessary. You should plan a boost controller when/if you get beyond 2 or 3 flow mods.
Your oil smoke threads got replies. I'm glad to hear you got it solved by eliminating the PCV. I think it's just fine as is, assuming you plugged both ends where the valve was.

Tomorrow I'll hunt a couple.
Thanks for the reply.
The thread I was complaining about with no replies is the last one I put up. In any case, it looks like things worked out.

Maybe, if I get better and more confident at this...
