Few questions/opinions...

I've been doing some research on the RX7 3rd gen and it seems if taken care of they can be fairly reliable cars but I'm just wondering how reliable?

Basically I'm looking into a new car in the next 5-10 months or so. I've got it narrowed down to a new 350Z or an RX7.

I'd like this to be a daily driver except for when it snows or something similiar I'll have a beater.

Now the thing is this is going to be the first car I'm really planning on modding fairly heavily. Exterior/Interior, Audio, and in car computer even and then I'd like to move on to the engine and hopefully get it down to low 12's high 11's if it's possible while still keeping it streetable and still keeping it reliable. Because of the amount of money I'll be putting in I also need it to last a good awhile.

If I go with the RX7 I'll buy one that is at 30k or less miles. Least thats what I plan and definitly no higher then 50k. Is it possible that the RX7 will last to 100-125k miles?

Also how much money do I need to set aside when I first buy the car (assuming it's checked out and in good condition by a mechanic) to have everything in perfect running condition and ready for engine modifications?

Thanks in advance. I don't have any expierence or knowledge on rotaries other then what I've pulled off and if I do this I really need to get quite specific. Seems like the RX7 might be the right candidate for me though.
