Talking A few pics of my R1, to include the new FMR

These pics were taken with an old digicam, so my apologies for the poor quality of the shots.

Here you can see the newly installed Gotham intake hard pipe kit, as well as my shiny alternator and relocated AST.

Wink

A shot of the previously-alluded to Front Mount Radiator. I'm sure it strikes fear into the heart of ricers everywhere when I blast up behind them and they look in their rearview and see "Fluidyne"

A better look at the hardpipes. A little more never hurt anybody

Interior shot. You can see the Profec B (soon to be spec II) mounted over the steering column, the sled driver wide pedal, Mazdaspeed carbonfiber shifter and leather shift and ebrake boots, and the Cavell-spec Apex'i Power FC Commander holder .

Edit: You can just barely see the power cord for the V1.....no FD should roll without one

Looks good Rich. Wish you a speedy rush home. I am currently enjoying my terminal leave. Just got off active duty myself. I didn't have the pleasure of going to Iraq however. My unit was mobilized CONUS to support Operation Noble Eagle. I commanded a detachment in the First Army AOR for a year. Not a bad duty. Looking forward to spending more time with my FD.

BTW, where did you get the PFC holder? Also is that an M2 LSMIC. I see that like mine the duct doesn't completely match. Do you think this will cause a problem?

Thanks man, Appreciate it. My first unit at Fort Hood was 2-82 FA in 1st Cav....I was an FSO, FDO, and Battle Captain. Awesome unit--Signal Corps sucks *** in comparison.

We sell the PFC Commander holders on our website ( www.GothamRacing.com ). Yeah, the duct pisses me off....I'm going to work on a solution when I get back. I don't think it is causing a problem in my case, because there is the thick lip around the duct, which keeps the seal.....there isn't an actual space there where air isn't hitting the core.

take it easy man---

Outstanding. Glad to see you spent some time with a real branch. Just kidding. Keep me posted on your solution for the duct.

I will go out to Gothams web site and purchase the holder. Keep in touch. If I see you on line I will drop you a line.

The car looks awesome GoodFella. Lots of Bling in the engine bay! I'm not crazy about the shift **** though, it looks like a tower sticking up there outta the trans tunnel.

About the V1, you're really happy with it? I've been trying to decide if getting a better radar detector is worth it. Right now I have a Cobra, just a little $100 thing, but it's saved my *** enough to know it's worth it. How much are V1's? And are they really worth it?

Heh, the shifter doesn't look quite that bad in person. I'm going to alter the stock shaft a bit (keep yer wisecracks to yerself ) to make it sit lower. Everyone's a critic

The V1 is the bomb-diggity shiz-nicketty dog . They are ~400 bones new, and worth every damn penny. The V1 has really, really, really cut down on the number of times I get pulled over, esp. in residential zones. It hardly ever falses in those circumstances. Also, my rex is so godawful loud (ask anyone at Kan's NJ tuning events or at Rotorfest) I need as much early warning as I can get......

Dude, we're going to put a damn Gotham sticker on every piece of glass on your FD. Sunroof? check. Rear glass? check. Driver's side? check. Pass side? check. Windshield? check. I'm sure we'll get inventive. Ask and ye shall receive

I saw that part, but I guess I'm just confused.

What is the other brown valve that plugs into the airbox (BOV and...)? Does it need to be?

Yeah, they're K&N's. They came with my Pettit intake, which has evolved quite a bit .

I think you're referring to the Charge Relief Valve--it's used in the stock operation of the sequential twins. I'm running parallel turbos, so I have both hooked up as BOVs.

Hey Tyler,

If you take a peek in the Kills Section, you'll see that my old man has been getting quite a bit of use out of the V1
