Yeah, I met Fritz and Damian, both great guys. I got to ride along for a couple of laps with Fritz yesterday, oh my god what a rush.

Thanks again btw Fritz!

my car is still pretty stock by the way, just what's in my sig. I used Porterfield R4 pads and superblue fluid for the event and ran on my street tires.

that thing was insane. Randy Pobst was there and took a guy out for 5 laps who'd won a raffle for it. He turned a 2:01 lap time

i better see some more rx-7s there next spring. i haven't been to vir since this feb and was dissapointed in the rotary showing. one instructor had a 2nd gen gtu with approximately 50 or so track events under it's belt, very impressive considering it was the stock engine and was rolling with 911 rs americas

If you go in april with the audi club, there should be a few I hope. There were 4 there this weekend, I had hoped to see more myself.

Damn, 5 months to wait until I go back, winter is going to suck this year.

Don't top the oil off because the extra oil will be pushed up the oil filler neck and into the crankcase breather. It is then piped around to the intake on the front turbo where it'll be sucked/pushed into the IC and if enough oil gets in there it'll go right into the combustion chamber.

Ok, took 3 days, but I finally got all my pics uploaded. I only have pics of you (Section8) on the skidpad I guess. I never took pics of your group on track.

Here's a couple examples, there's a bunch more all right around these in the album:

Oh, and one of the C-GT

Wow, great shots! The water adds a nice touch to the pics on the skid pad. I love the pictures of the red group with the passing going on in the corners, looks like a real race going on

I'm not sure that is great advice (but I'll be interested to see what other people say!)

I've been told to overfill mine by a 1/2 quart for the track, and I've had this confirmed by several serious competitors...

I've never had issues with oil leaking into anything else as some others have suggested...

Looks like you had a ball!!

The dipstick from top full to bottom low is about 1 quart. I run almost a quart low on my stock FD or similar cars or I throw oil everywhere. On my single turbo track car I can get away with 1/2 quart low but still need to keep an eye on the catch can.

If I ran a 1/2 quart high I'd hate to even think about the mess that would cause.

If you and your competitors are getting away with this I commend you on your smooth driving and keep up the good work

Your car looks great, looks like you had a great time too What size and make/model tires do you have on the stock wheels? How were they holding up?
