Exclamation Feels like fuel cut when driving around?

When im driving under 20 and increase to say around 30 to 40 in 2nd and 3rd gear every now and then the motor dies for a second, like it hit fuel cut or something. Sometimes its very mild cut off but this morning going to work it jerked around for a few seconds and scared me a bit.
It drives great other than that aspect.
It seems to happen around when the primary turbo starts to kick in under light acceleration.
Any idea at what this might be? Any help would be much appreciated.

I think I may have the same problem as you. When im cruising, doesnt matter the speed, and I try to increase throttle, the engine doesnt respond at all no matter how much throttle I give it. Sometimes it will feel like it wants to die, so I just have to blip the throttle till it responds again

When it was doing this I once gave it max throttle, and I heard what sounded like detonation

Mine only does this when warm, and it also seems to try and stall, is yours doing this?

Have you guys check the TPS voltage and compared it to manufacturer specs? I've had a friend with the same similar problem and it came out that his TPS was out of spec and a new one fixes the problem.

No I havent, but I decided to pick up another throttle body which should be coming sometime next week that was working fine because Ive always suspected the tps had something to do with it.

Gents, I had a similar problem a while back, turned out to be my fuel filter.... It's a pain to get to but also a cheap fix. Maybe give that a shot?

Thanks for the responses

I already changed the filter thinking that it might be that but that didn't do it. Ill go check the tps sensor this weekend and see if its with in spec.

Mines a bit different its more like when cruising i begin to increase speed for a few seconds and will hit a point where the motor dies more a split second or two and is then perfectly fine once i let off the gas.

It does it very randomly. I tried to get it to do it on command at various speeds and gears and got nothing. It shows up every time i forget about it likes its trying to remind me i have a small gremlin somewhere.

I'm going to go ahead and test the tps sensor, fuel pump voltage, ignition coil specs, maybe injectors?
Any others things i should test?

OK so been doing some digging in the forum archives and seems that the 93 ECU had a fuel injection problem around 3k.

This may explain the weird cutout i get right around the 3k area.

Anybody want to add to this thought?
