i have been experiencing not all the time but a lag around 3k. feels like it has a pause then puts out the power. i have not DTC's. Anyone heard of this or know of a solution to this? thanks.

 

Sounds like the classic 3k hesitation. Do a search.

 

By running an extra engine ground (or two ) I reduced the occurrence on mine, but there is plenty of info on that (look at the FAQs).

 

doesnt rewiring the fuel pump fix this issue? Ive had mine rewired for quite some time now and never had that problem.

 

Some people thought that the hesitation could be caused by the voltage transition to the fuel pump set by the fuel pump resistor. If that was actually true, I'd suppose rewiring the fuel pump would fix it. I'm rewiring mine during my rebuild process, so we'll see if mine disappears.

BTW changing to a Power FC makes the 3K RPM hesitatioon disapear.
