always have tools, distilled water, high temp silicone self fusing tape, extra couplers, and clamps in a bag in the trunk. a tripple a card doesnt hurt either.

I see you're from Smyrna, you're not too far away from me.

I actually don't know any Rotary based shops in the Nashville area just in case, could recommend some place?

And id like to add a +1 to the guy who said our engines arent made of glass.

It is true, i get into this arguement/friendly discussion with my friend all the time. Every once in a while we will talk about each others cars. He says man i want an rx7 one day, but i will need a crap load of money in the bank cause those cars are timebombs. I think i would be afraid to rev it. I was like lol ok man, just stick with your car then.
lol

Yeah, I get into this argument with my friend saying that if I get one I'm gonna blow an Apex seal within 5 thousand miles lol. I know he's ****** with me but I know alot of people think this way. It's the same way when it comes to SRT-4s and people who say that they are nothing but problem engines but I know better that it's the owners who don't know what they are doing.

I think it's the mentality of "Hey, lets turn up the boost and be fast" without understanding there is much more to it.

By the way, you're not too far away from my home town, Linden.

That is a good point...

The main reason I made this thread was because I plan to drive across the US to visit certain people one day for vacation and I'd love to bring the RX-7 with me (when I do have possession of it).

Thanks again guys.

Yeah, there is no way you can ever stop the madness people will think and say about rx7s. Its impossible so the best bet is to just ignore them. Let them think what they think. When you really think about it, there is NO car that people wont critcize.

You talk about an american car, people will say DUMBestics. You say an import car, people will say slow jap. You say honda, people will say vtack, supras and people say dyno queens. Even ferraris and people say overpriced 12 second car.

There will always be ignorant people out there who doesnt know squat. If this world revolved around one car, just to make everything neutral, the automotive world would be boring. Not to mention they wouldnt be a multi-billion dollar industry.

So if some of your friends say something about your car, say something about theirs. Theres a name for any car out there.

And yeah i know where linden is, not far from me at all. I used to live in jersey city, well i still do technically cause my house hasnt sold yet but i just moved to secaucus. Def a much better neighborhood. One of my supra friends live in elizabeth. Im usually there quite often cause he's building his car for bigger turbo.
