I owned a 1993 base model RX7 about a decade ago and sold it. I regretted that decision ever since. I've spent the last 6 years evolving a 2000 Audi S4 so it makes enough power to throw down 120mph quarter mile MPH's and trying to make it handle and brake ok, lol. The S4 is a great daily driver and an amazing car to blow away Z06's and such with, but nowhere near as engaging a drive as the FD. I bought the FD to compliment it and serve at occasional track events in street-legal trim.

I purchased a 1993 Touring with 90k on the clock. I got a great deal but it needs a new engine and the 5th gear synchro is probably shot. I'm not shy when it comes to motor or tranny pulls (compared to my S4 it's gotta be cake!) and was looking for a nice, economical source for 13B-REW engines and 5spd transmissions. Pre 95 JDM stuff wire up the same? Any good importers/suppliers? I see some on EBay for 2400: That's a good price range for me.

Power FC was a pipe-dream when I had my FD. I'd probably like to incorporate one of those and run the stock turbos until they puke... and they get a GT35-40R. I want around 400whp and a torque-curve I can use on tracks with turns Any other suggestions?

Anyhow, I was glad to see an active forum for RX7's and a wealth of knowledge that will take forever to digest! Back when I had my last FD it was just an arcane mailing list!

Good to have you man. There's usually engines etc on sale over in the forsale section here on the boards as well as some common sellers (Fritz Flynn being one of the major sources for anything that is FD parts). Check around on here and on nopistons.com as well as they have a contracted importer for the most part who sells jdm engines with a limited warranty etc. Take care!
