my engine is acting up!!! d engine is a bit shakky... and wen i put the auto in gear, the rpm would just drop and eventually dies... I went to a mechanic and he said it was the Torque Converter... How can i make sure it is the TQ? what are the symptms? any1 who can help?

 

I do not think it would be torque converter while the car is in park! sounds like a apex seal has broken but not for sure. I had the same thing happen to my 94 a few yrs ago and ended up replacing the motor.

 

check your boost sensor, i have a 5 spd but my car did exactly the same as yours when i put it in gear. it could be as simple as that. i hope

ur idle fluctuate? Do you have 2 idle speeds, one in gear and another in N or P? If so, it maybe just be a vac leak in the LIM.

 

my idle doesn't fluctuate... jus dat the engine isnt like normal... Zooq... where is the Boost Sensor located?? anb wat does it do neways? any pix?

 

if it is a blown motor... wat s the first sign??? but i doubt it is a blown motor coz i've never abuse neways... hello guys... anything would b appreciated...
