FD transmission rebuild

Hi guys
Does anybody have a write up on how to rebuild the transmission, I have a noisy input shaft bearing.
I have found this davidgeesaman.com - This website is for sale! - davidgeesaman Resources and Information. but for some reason it won't open.
Has anybody saved this anywhere at all and able to send it to me?

Thanks in advance

The only thing I've done on a trans is do a 5th gear synchro, if you dig around there's a PDF or web page documenting that process with pics.

For that you do need a gear puller with a very long reach, I got a regular gear puller and made long arms out of some angle iron. Works great. You'll also need C-clip pliers and possibly a few other specialty tools.

I think the input shaft bearing MAY be a tricky one to do, you may have to take a whole lot of transmission apart to get to it.

like Dale says you need some really long pullers. the R type transmission isn't the easiest transmission in the world, and there are a TON of little parts in there that need to go back where they came from, so be organized.

here is a You Tube video, that I like, of a postmortem on a spec miata transmission. It's not a how-to but a what to look for in a well abused Mazda transmission.
