Sorry but your toy was just that a "toy" if it couldn't handle it.

I have no idea what that clown was talking about. I have towed 4500lbs numerous times with my v6 Tacoma with no problems.

And why is there a uproar over the "faking" of towing the skis? You guys have more problems with your cars you need to worry about.

Sorry I should have been more specific. It had a 10inch lift and 35x14.50x15 TSL Boggers.

How much did your "4 spot trailer and 4 Sea doo GTX's" weigh. Because if I remember correctly the towing capacity of the 1991 V6 Nissan truck was 3500lbs...Here it is

This car has a Wheelbase of 116.1 inches, with overall Length of 195.5 inches, its curb weight is 3,760 pounds, with seating capacity of 3, while the towing capacity is 3,500.

Maybe you had those ultra cool carbon-fiber Sea doo's and trailer.

nope i have the SE V6 and it seats 4, the weight of the truck is more than you posted. It is dark and i am lazy so i won't go out and read the weight off the sticker. As for towing capacity, don't recall that either. Waht I can tell you is what i posted before. It towed 4 GTX sea-doos without a flinch. And this was in 97-98' so no ultra cool CF ones yet.

Sounds like you only lifted the truck and did not re-gear the diffs. If that is the case then the blame falls on you for poor planning of the lift and build.

At the time I had 31/12.5/15 Thornbirds on the truck....Maybe my Nissan is just better than your toy

I had my truck in 97 so it was a long time ago. I know it was my fault by not changing gears, I was young and didn't have the money to do it. I also haven't had the truck for quite a few years. Nissan trucks may tow better than Toyota's, but I don't really care and was just trying to give something to compare to. I wasn't trying to get in a debate about who's truck could tow more way back in 2000.

Towing a light trailer with the FD should be fine. You have plenty of brakes, the only concern is engine cooling and boost. Don't run the car down the freeway so fast that you are under boost constantly. Most Hondas are rated for 1000lb trailer.

As for the Toyota, any V6 truck should be able to handle a 3000lb trailer with NO troubles. I towed several FDs on a dolly with a '89 2wd, std cab 4cyl Toyota, braking was not good but it would go down the freeway at 70mph no troubles. I even crossed 4000 ft mountain passes.

98'

neither was I trying to debate. Just haveing fun since this thread was a joke to start out with and all the freaks that think a FD can't tow are freaking out.
