FD shifter secondary location

I have used the search function but can't seem to find what I want. I am using an fd gearbox in my rx4 and need to locate the shifter in the forward location on the FD gear box just in front of the standard position.

I would really apreciate advice on how to do this. Thanks.

Just cut a new hole for the FD shift box and leave it where it is. Then install an extended shift rod to bring it further forward. You can either replace the whole rod, or get one that clamps onto the stock shift rod.
