fd: remove rear storage, insert oem speaker covers?

Hi!
Quick Q.

Is this an easy swap over, or do i need the whole damn rear quarterpanels left and right?

I have the touring rear panels with the storing units(behind the driver/passenger head), but i want to put a speaker there instead, like the R1/2s. I notised they have what looks like being the same rear panels, but with the speaker and speaker cover.

If i get a hold of the speaker bracket and cover, can i just pop out the storage thing and insert the bracket, speaker and cover, and use the same touring panel? Or do i need to get a R1/2 rear panel, or use a hack saw on my touring panels to make it fit?

I have put the car away for winter storage now(1 hour from car), so i cant inspect it....

Yep, it's that simple. Finding the speaker covers and brackets can be tricky, as everyone with a touring model wants to do the same thing.

You will need to pull the interior panels to bolt the brackets on, but you can just pop the little pocket out and pop the speaker grille in.
