6 letters = $900.00

From our "DMV" (Transport Dept in Aussie speak). I'm not spending 900 bucks on plates, so I'm going with the 3 letters+3 numbers combo. But cant decide what I want, since mine is debadged and I dont like advertising its an RX7 :p

If I paid the 900 bucks, for 6 letters I could get BATMAN lol... I enquired and its available...
Maybe RXO 007, RXO 777, MAZ 777, BAT 007... I dont know...
To be honest, those are all pretty terrible choices. I would just go without due to the lame cost of 6 letters.

I've driven it around enough down here to "test the waters" and I haven't been stopped. I've even had a couple of times when a cop was right behind me, but I still wasn't stopped for it.

Also, my neighbor (her in FL) is a cop. His opinion was that no one will care as long as the tag is the right tag for the vehicle, its readable, and the registration sticker is valid.

The other thing is that we have like 200 different plate designs available here in FL, so lots of people probably think its just one they haven't seen before. lol

I know. Its not me wanting a lame plate, its more the DMV here, with their stupid choices of letterings and cost. There are many many crappy old skylines running around here with things like ROO 033 (for an R33 skyline) and MAD 001. Saw one this morning on a WRX that read ARO 000 which made little sense to me :s

Stupid Australia. Cant carry a gun/have to pay 900 bucks for a custom plate/no Dr Pepper... I should have stayed in the US

I would like to do the same BUT the cops in S.Fl are probably not as nice as the cops in your area....They love giving tickets down here for everything...when they pull you over they automatically check your tints now

Also, I read the statue you posted, thanks by the way, and that tag is definitely illegal since you changed the color...It's one of the things it states in the statue... NO COLOR CHANGE....but if you read it completely, pretty much everything you do to a tag including those covers everyone buys at the autoparts is illegal as well....

Guess it's just take the risk and see what happens....

Now to come up with a color scheme to match my MB FD....

^ I think he knows that but the authorities believe it stands for "F the world". I guess there is no convincing them otherwise.

Well crap, on my iPhone the pic was upside down hence the comment. Not on the Mac though.

Make it happen and get that puppy ready by April. It's a great event.

Since the car is down for winter, and my registration is up, I figured I would submit for mine.

Haha, that's funny. I just checked this thread from my iPhone, and my picture is upside down, but it looks fine on my PC. And yea, I'm going to do my best to make it

The well-known gamer term "1337" = leet = elite = better than you.

Yes, I'm a total gamer and nerd. :P

However, "1337" is also my "NEC" code in the Navy, which designates my trained specialty. Same thing as an army "MOS" basically.

Navy NEC - FC-1337 AN/SPY-1D (V) Radar Technician
