FD into FC

Does the FD motor have the mounting locations for an FC. I would like to put an FD engine in my car and was hoping that i could change the oil pan and use the FC motor mounts

I believe the driver's side mount is the same or is atleast there. The passenger side, you have to drill and tap the EXACT hole for the mount on the FC in to the FD's middle iron. Make sure it's dead on, or you'll run into problems. You'll also need some sort of EMS to control it. The wiring and everything is different from S4 to S5 FC's and from S5 FC's to S6 FD's. It'll be cool though.
Have fun.

Search the FC section - this has been covered ad infinitum there. It's VERY difficult - money and time you could spend building a 13BT up.

It's a good swap if done correctly, you end up with bigger ports off the bat and you can set up the turbos for nonsequential until you can upgrade. If you've got the motor, go for it. The biggest thing is the mounts and the EMS.

Check out clubfc3s.com, you'll find some good stuff. Everyone will tell you it's really hard, i've looked into it, its not really, you can modify the irons for the mount and then just get a microtech or haltech.
