Yep, i've decided until I'm lifeless, this car will be with me.

It's everything I imagined "my car" would be as a teen and everything I imagined fun would entail on the road, although nearly stock and slow, words can't describe it's beauty and experience in & out.

It'll hit the grave/junk-yard well before you do.... I felt the same way about my first FD, but speed is like Crack, you had your first fix, and it was great, but you always think you can improve on it somehow... ... Uh, cough, or so I hear !

While nearly stock and slow might describe a Pinto, I find it hard to believe as a teen you feel this car is slow (unless the turbo system isn't preforming correctly)
Nice find, wish everyday I had kept my white one.

I don't find it hard to believe at all.

For 1993, the speed was new, surreal.

Now it needs to at least be "BPU" mod'd to give any threat to STI's, EVO's, SRT-4's, even some well-modified MR2's.

My stock FD felt fast for maybe a month, sure the turbo's and rotary wind-up speed make up for a lack of torque, but like anyting else, eventually you get so used to it and it's not enough...

no, i was a teen when this car was out (i'm 25 now) and got my first ride in one when i was 18, had a prelude vtec at the time, got my wrx next but FD was never in the budget, compared to my wrx it's insanely slow, but once the subaru is sold it'll be faster (just has JDM 5spd transmission/downpipe/K&N on chopped airbox right now)... it's a big enough chore keeping it RUNNING heh

Agreed. Although I am a huge fan of the LS_ series, I do not jock it in every single post when someone mentions that they enjoy their FD.

Yea. Exactly. LSx series rocks, but its almost an opposite powerband to the 13b, more torque, no turbo. And sure, the new z06 is a greaaat package, even the C5 was/is, but its outfitted in a ho-hum designed interior (BLAH!) and are way too common despite its beauty (C5) and the new ones are meh...stubby?

Hence, why an LS1-FD sounds much better than any C5/C6 possibility for me :P

The FD is a "Good" car, too. Different strokes (Literally) for different folks...

Viper? Vette? Supra? FD? All great cars man.

i know it is man, i love the car..thats why i bought it LOL

just because it seems like i rag on the car, doesnt mean i hate it otherwise i wouldnt have spend over a year searching for one and still be owning it for almost 2 years..

but unlike most people that i've seen here, i can admit that i love other cars as well, even the cars that seem to be a threat in terms of being "better" or having more potential in being "faster"..like the supra or z06 etc etc..

some people refuse to admit that those cars are probably better (in whatever you consider better) as a whole..

im trying to break that little daze on this forum, if you follow jimlab and fumanchu's posts, you'll see what i mean..

but no doubt that the FD is a great sports car, even to this day...it seems relative now..
