Are FD engines still on back order @ mazda?

Wsup guys... I just went to the Mazda dealership last Friday in order to purchase a reman 13b-rew and they told me that they were able to get one in a few days... However when they put the order in... they told me that they wouldn't be able to obtain the engine for a while and were mistaken on the E.T.A. They told me the engines are comming out from Florida and I was just wondering if it's because of the hurricanes that have been hitting the east coast lately or because the engines are still on hold for a while... Anyways... they told me to come back on Monday because on Friday they said it was too late to put the order in because all the shops in the East were closed...

I'm trying to obtain a FD engine as soon as possible... I really want to get my car back on the street... and just wanted to know if any of you guys know what's up with engines taking so long to come in... thanks for your time guys... any help will be appreciated...

The hurricane issue is a possiblity. But then again dealers are total wastes of space so they could just be giving you the run around for whatever reason.

get your engine rebuilt by a rotary shop near you. i would never buy a reman from mazda because there is a good chance that they may not last

KDR got my new engine as a reman and then rebuilt it with the porting, seals, etc that I wanted so yeah I'm pretty sure they aren't on backorder anymore.
