i just bought a jspec tt motor but the supplier didnt know much about it... it has the code n3a7 on the computor. i know the ones i have worked on in the past were always n3a1, does anyone know what year of car the n3a7 was from, or is it simply just because it is a jspec and still a 93 motor? any info is greatly apreciated.

 

Here's a few numbers that I know.
n3a1 US
n3a7 Japan
n3b8 Euro

As long as you use the same engine year, any computer will run any engine IMO.
Just swap an 8-bit CPU with another 8-bit and not a later 16 or 32-bit.

 

sounds resonable to me??? so it is most likely a 93-95 motor but from japan... thanks for the imput.
