FD Dash problem

Hi Guys,

I have owned my FD for many years but recently I put in a fuel cell and swirl pot to stop surge. Ever since then my dash no longer works correctly. I cant understand it

When I turn the ignition on the guages work, Fuel level etc.. as I go to start the car the tach goes up a bit indicating the motor is turning over but once it starts the dash stops working. All guages just go to zero

with the ignition on and car not running the odometer works

Any ideas? I have checked all the fuses and earths that I can see

Regards,

Adam.

What happens with your warning lights? I understand that your fuel, temp, oil pressure, and tach all go to zero when the engine starts running, but what about coolant and oil level warning lights? Do they stay off? Any more info could help; the wiring diagram is somewhat vague.

I fixed it. it was a cable that use to run to the fuel sender. I simply earthed it and that fixed all the problems.
