FD & Apexi Turbo Timer & White wire
I'm currently installing a turbo timer... I have a white wire with female round plug end coming out from the wiring harness. What is it? Where do I connect it? Anyone one have any ideas?
Since the O2 wire from the timer connects to the ecu I'm assuming its not that one. The grey one goes to the e-brake and the black is ground. So, what does the white wire do?
OH, BTW, does the black wire have to connect to the ECU's ground if I connect the O2 wire to the ECU
As a side not, the Apexi turbo primer is a good resource, but it didn't answer the white where, what are you? question.
Thanks,
Victor

Apexi has all their manuals online -

Anyhow, the white wire is for the O2 sensor, according to the manual. Dunno what the wire is you're looking at .

Thanks for the reply. I was referring to the white wire out of the RX-7 specific harness. It has a large female connector but I couldn't find any documentation for the harness. The cardboard box it came in had a diagram of the harness but no mention of the white wire.
I did connect the Apexi TT yesterday. My GAWD there is no room down there. It took me longer to position myself then to actually get the work done. OH and the ECU is a pain when you 'try' to pull out the connectors.

Yep, it's pretty tight - you ought to try working on a Supra TT, that's ridiculous!
Anyhow, I think that wire is just a "bonus" - I've seen other TT harnesses like that. That should just be a switched power output that you can hook up to other things, like gauges or the like. You can always test it with a meter.
Regardless, it's nothing that needs to be hooked up for the Apexi timer to work.
