FCD and pettit ecu

i friend of mine wants to install a pettit ecu. He already have a HKS FCD on his stock ecu, should he get rid of that?

yup, the hks is just a piggy-back unit which works with the stock ecu while the pettit is the entire ecu thats just been reprogrammed.
