Faulty Alternator?

What are the symptoms of a faulty alt. on an fd?

Your "charge" light will come on. Letting you know there is a problem, be it overcharging or under.Then follow the FSM procedures for checking it.

Dead battery, charginging rate under 14 Volts DC( or in the near range)

I have none I was just suspicious. Trying to look at all angles while troubleshooting my boost issue....

when i had to replace mine, the ex. overheat light, check engine, and battery light were on and the gauges would frequently dim.

in mine...the voltage would be fine until i boosted just one time then it would drop down to 11s and stay there...kept killing my batteries then figured it had to be the alternator...sure enough it was
