Fans staying on after shutting off car

I'm running a 5,000 mile reman with miata thermoswitch. I just put the motor in, and half of the time I shut the car off the fans stay on. From researching if the car is running hot for a certain length of time, or is hot when you shut down the fans stay on. Anyone have anymore information on this? I have to rewire my aftermarket temp gauge as its not working properly. I'm running a 2row, stock radiator, and ast removed. New fluid around 80/20 water/coolant, water wetter, and my engine under cover is on. Is something wrong or is this normal?

Put more antifreeze in it.

Check the T-stat, they fail often. I had a 1000 reman with a Bad T-stat.

You do know about the fan wiring update and the "10-minute shutdown" sequence, right?

I would reccmmend only using the OEM t-stat. I've heard stories of no-oem units not working correctly.

Is that a Mazda update? Or something that people have just been doing to their cars?
