Fan problem
The problem is finding the short to begin with. Get a copy of the wiring diagram, a multi-tester, and a large dose of patience. Once you find it, you just need to clean up the wiring.
One item to may want to check is that the black wire coming from the ECU that is commonly used for the Fan Mod could be grounding on something causing the fan to come on. It would be an easy fix if this was the case.

and does anyone have the correct relays i could by off of? or the part number?

mine did that for a long time. None of the fixes on here would do it so I cut the fans from running automatically and ran a wire to the test box fromthe interior and turn the fans on manually when I turn the car on. It's ghetto but it works.
