Do I have to get a Steering Wheel Hub to go aftermarket wheel?

I am looking at getting a new steering wheel. Do I have to get a hub adapter to install an aftermarket wheel? I know the stuff about the airbag light and bell or whatever. My question is, is the Momo, Mazdaspeed, or Sparco hub required to install an aftermarket wheel?

Another thing; is there any real good reason why I would spend 250 bucks on a steering wheel when I could buy a APC one for 60 bucks at the local Pepboys? Yeah, I now APC is ricer and I agree, but it would be very easy to take out the APC logo in the horn button and replace it with a picture of the Mazda logo with a black background. Is buying a Momo or Sparco steering wheel over a APC like buying Guess bluejeans instead of Levis? Thanks for the help.

Yes you need a hub adapter. The HKB one from Japan or the Momo one works decently.

Just get a standard 3-spoke Sparco wheel.
