Fan Mod not working??

Did the fan mod, for some reason its not working, was hoping someone could help me out. Found the black wire with green trace, take it to ground for 2 min prior to shutting off, maintain for 30 sec after turning off car.
So far I have verified: connection at black/green wire is good, ground is good, switch is good, pulled all 4 relays, ohmed coils and hit each with 12 volts, all good.
The fans work, they come on when car is hot.
Any one have any ideas??
Thanks

When you turn the switch on (ground the wire), can you hear the relay click? It shouldn't matter whether the ignition is on or not...

Cheers,
Dave

usually, engine running, fans come on with switch-on, or 2 minutes after switch-on, depending on car.

if this is not the case, may be module/wiring prob. alternatives is the mod at the xxxvoodooxxx site, referenced in the cirian site info on fan-mod.

I get nothing when i ground the wire, no relay click, but I did pull all the relays and check them, so its not a bad relay, think its the module?

Mine is screwed up too...

If the switch is on, I get the fans. With it off, I get no fans. AN it does not stay on after the car is shut off any more...

It used to work with the switch on, I get high Fans and off, I get low fans....

Its driving me nuts!

My fans never go on when I turn off the car, I'll try to look into my problem too.

It's beginning to sound like it, isn't it?

As a matter of interest, the wire that you found had a plastic female "lock" cover over it? And a female "spade"-type connector?

My wire was actually red/black, not green....

Cheers,
Dave

Well I guess I'm not nuts after all. The wire i found was black with a green trace, had a black female spade connector on it. If anyone could help me get to the bottom of this I sure would appreciate it. Its driving me nuts!

I tried this mod the other day and had the same problem. It really wasn't THAT hard, a little more time consuming, but I found this to work fine for me:
