my factory alarm arms fine, i lock the doors and the car beeps once. i have actually sat in the car closed the door locked the door and armed it. and then unlocked the door from inside and opened the door and the alram activated.. but the little alarm indicator on the console never flashes ever to show it is armed...

i too the console off and looked at the wires and it is connected and the bulb looks good. any other thoughts?

 

does it stay lighted when it is armed? or does it stay off? Recently, mine started staying on constantly when it is armed. I can't remember, but they are supposed to blink every 5 seconds or so, right?

 

mine doesnt do anything.. doesnt flash even once.. its like its dead... but the alarm arms fine.. i just wish the light would work lol

Same thing here. Replaced the whole switch with another one. Both bulbs fine but still no flash or anything. However, the alarm does indeed work just like yours.

 

Mine does the same thing, actually when I bought the car the alarm did not work at all. The previous owner had a car starter installed and they disabled the alarm during the install. I removed the car starter and now the factory alarm works fine except the light. I pulled the tiny bulb out of the switch and it definitely looks like that is the problem, it is nice and black. Does anyone happen to know the part # for the bulb and possibly a price?
