EZ Pass??
I have to get my car e-checked here this week. I have intake downpipe, and catback and the power fc. Well I know the car is running pretty rich. I have no idea if it is going to pass the echeck or not. Has anyone heard anything about using that ez pass stuff for our rotary engines? I would put my stock ecu back in but a few of the pinns actually fell off when I took it out. Please give me some suggestions on what I can do to make sure i pass.

Come on people, I have to get this done in 2 days please help. I have another question too. Will running higher octane gas ie. 115 do anything? Or maybe even lower octane, ie. 92.

Heya,
I am not sure about the ez pass stuff, but if you do use it, I would recommend you drive it out of your car slowly, no high speed runs, and run some Chevron Techron Cleaner afterwards with some high octane.
I have heard from reputable car mechanics that you should use low octane gas during a smog test, for piston cars anyway. The reasoning is that it will run hotter and burn more completely. Again, I would recommend you drive it out of your car slowly, no high speed runs, and run some Chevron Techron Cleaner afterwards with some high octane.
There are a couple of people that did pass with the PowerFC, but you need to pass visual and you also need to have your air pump on and enabled. Also, make sure that your main cat is hot and let your car idle with no electrical load while waiting for the test. One more thing, make sure that they stay out of any boost during the test; your readings must be below 0, preferrably at -10.
Good luck, and please e-mail me when you get your results, as mine is coming up for test in February.
Thanks,

I passed with PFC, chemicaly. BUT the car failed overall because my check engine light does not come on at start-up due to the PFC.
Oh and at the time I still had the pre-cat in.
