extrude honing

Has anybody had their intake manifold extrude honed? Results? Opinions? Is this worth the headache?

O.K. here ya go, it is definately worth doing, but doing RIGHT! In other words, don't just send it to them and have them hone it for more flow, have them balance each pair of runners to match, I.E. inside runners to flow the same, and outside runners to flow the same. One of the main reasons the rear rotor always blows the seals is because it recieves over 20% more air than the front. I know this, because I had two sets of stock FD intakes flow tested, and I had to send it back to Extrude hone twice to get within 3% front to back, and it definately made my engines more reliable. It will cost about $600.00 to do it properly, make sure and get before and after flow charts from them if you decide to do it.

Hope this helps

Jason.

Extrudehone. You have to send it directly to their Pennslvannia location.
