Extra connector near ECU - where does it go?

It's a black, single female spade lug connector that is in the same bundle of wires that connect to the blue engine harness connector. I looked and looked and can't find its mate. Note: this is inside the car on the passenger side, bottom right (if you're sitting in the passenger seat). Thanks.

That wire is related to the radiator cooling fans. I found it and and ran some voltage tests along with measuring the Resistance trying to isolate what it could be. I grounded it and forgot about it. Later I started the engine and then after I shut it down the cooling fans came on. Finely I read some threads concerning a "fan mod" and it seems its used to control the cooling fans and some people like I did do the mod. It's designed to turn on you cooling fans after shut down to cool the radiator after the engine is shut down. It runs the fans for 10 minutes then shuts down. There is a set sequence to follow to make it work. In other words it's not normally connected and is part of the fan mod.

Thanks for the info. So what you're saying is that this wire is grounded as part of doing the mod, but there are other steps involved to complete the mod. And in general, it's not entirely necessary? Thanks!
